ABUS HYBAN 3.0. The urban helmet for commutes, citylights and corner-coffee

ABUS, the safety expert for Mobile Security, presents the HYBAN 3.0 – the next generation of its successful urban helmet. With a newly defined outer shape, revised design, and significantly improved technology, the helmet has everything modern city cyclists expect today – technically and visually. Three versions are available: the entry-level HYBAN 3.0 LR, the classic HYBAN 3.0, and the premium version HYBAN 3.0 ACE with visor and an innovative rear light.
Robust construction, well-considered details
The HYBAN 3.0 features a robust outer shell and a shock-absorbing EPS core—for high durability and reliable protection in everyday use. Eleven air inlets and outlets ensure a comfortable head climate and an integrated bugmesh on the two front air inlets prevents insects from entering while riding. The flat Trivider™ strap divider keeps the straps securely in place without accidentally shifting.
Precise fit with a new adjustment system
The inner shape of the HYBAN 3.0 is based on the performance helmet favoured by ABUS athletes and, in combination with the newly introduced Zoom™ Spin-Flex adjustment system, ensures a comfortable fit. The innovative adjustment system has been significantly improved: it offers a considerably increased degree of flexibility, a more precise adjustment wheel, and a clean, timeless design. Slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, it also offers greater scope for height adjustment – ideal for long hair or a ponytail, which can be comfortably threaded through the ponytail-outlet. Soft, washable comfort pads, an all-around adjustment ring, and the easy-to-use FIDLOCK magnetic buckle round up the wearing comfort.
HYBAN 3.0 ACE – the premium version with visor
The HYBAN 3.0 ACE is the premium version of the family. Instead of a peak, it features a visor that reliably protects eyes and face from wind, rain, and insects – ideal for urban riding. Visibility was a key focus during development. The HYBAN 3.0 ACE is equipped with a striking LED rear light featuring 30 LEDs, which is magnetically attached and can be charged via USB-C. With four lighting modes – steady, power, pulse, and flash – and up to 35 hours of illumination, the light significantly improves visibility in road traffic, thereby enhancing safety for the cyclist. An integrated diffuser additionally ensures glare-free, even light distribution.
HYBAN 3.0 – the classic with peak and rear light
The classic HYBAN 3.0 is the balanced choice for all those who rely on tried-and-tested functionality in urban everyday life. It comes with an optionally removable peak that reliably protects against sun, and low-lying light, as well as an active LED rear light with ten integrated LEDs and two lighting modes. It thus reliably covers the central requirements of daily city traffic.
HYBAN 3.0 LR – the entry model with reflective cover
The HYBAN 3.0 LR is the entry-level model of the family, offering an excellent price-to-performance ratio. Instead of an active light, it features an upgradable reflective cover at the rear that reflects the light of oncoming road users effectively – providing greater passive visibility without any battery or charging required. It thus brings together all the essential characteristics of the HYBAN 3.0 family, whilst deliberately remaining leanly specified.
All three models are available from specialist retailers in sizes S (51–55 cm), M (54–58 cm), and L (57–61 cm), as well as in selected colour variants in XL (60–64 cm).
