Fresh air for your head, a fresh look for the road: the AirBreaker 2.0 gets a modern colour update for the new season with seven new designs. Whilst neon yellow offers additional safety thanks to its high visibility, the new animal print variants add a fashionable touch and bring personality to the peloton and community rides. The road helmet thus combines its proven performance with a look for everyone who wants to show not only maximum ventilation and performance but also individuality on long summer rides, challenging climbs and fast group rides.
The ABUS AirBreaker 2.0 was developed for ambitious road cyclists who refuse to compromise on long climbs, fast training laps and in race conditions. With its combination of maximum ventilation, high aerodynamics, low weight and first-class comfort, it is one of the most popular performance helmets in both the professional and amateur sectors. It is no coincidence that riders from the Movistar Team and Pinarello-Q36.5 teams rely on the AirBreaker 2.0.
The key focus of the helmet is an exceptionally efficient ventilation. Large air inlets at the forehead, distinctive eyebrow vents and wide-open ventilation channels ensure a constant airflow and help keep the head cool even in high temperatures and during long climbs. The AirBreaker 2.0 really shows its fully performance in situations where every watt counts and speed drops.
At the same time, the helmet impresses with its sophisticated aerodynamics. The integrated AeroBlade, made from an innovative injected carbon grid, optimises airflow around the helmet and reduces disruptive turbulences. The result is a perfect balance of cooling, stability and aerodynamic efficiency – designed for high speeds and ambitious, sporty riders.
The AirBreaker 2.0’s commitment to performance is also evident in its weight. Weighing just 205 grams (size S), the new helmet is right up there with the very best road helmets. This low weight is among others made possible by the ActiCage, an integrated cage structure that has allowed the ABUS developers to incorporate large ventilation openings into the AirBreaker without compromising on safety.
Practical eyewear ports allow sports glasses to be safely stowed away during climbs or breaks. The FlowStraps Pro strap system and the Zoom-Spin adjustment system ensure a precise fit and high comfort – even on long days in the saddle.
For the new season, the AirBreaker 2.0 also features a fresh new colour scheme. Alongside the eye-catching neon-yellow variant, which ensures increased visibility in traffic, two new animal-print designs add a fashionable touch to the peloton. Four further colours round off the colour scheme. The performance helmet thus combines technical excellence with a confident presence on the road.
Manufactured in ABUS’s own factory in Italy, the AirBreaker 2.0 is available in three sizes and also as a MIPS version. The MIPS version also features a magnetic Fidlock fastener for particularly comfortable handling.
